How To Make The Perfect Iced Mocha

I admit it, I love iced coffee. More than love. I've had to impose strict rules to keep myself from drinking WAY too many of them every day. In fact, in general iced coffee is the only place I have dairy any more (I'm looking for a substitute, but haven't found one I like.) Today I thought I'd share my technique for the perfect iced mocha coffee.

What You'll Need:

-Cold Coffee (you can make this using cold brewed coffee, which is SUPER yummy, or just brew some up and let it chill)

-Milk (I use whole milk, if you use Almond Milk, or Coconut Milk, or Raw Milk, that's totally cool too)

-Chocolate Syrup (Mine is made using this recipe and it's FABULOUS)

-Ice

Put the ice in your cup, then add the coffee and milk, (whatever ratios you like in hot coffee will work here too. I am not using amounts because I judge based off my cup, so I know how much my cup takes, so just make it the same as you would hot coffee). Mix those two together, then drizzle in about a tablespoon of chocolate syrup. I know it has sugar, but it's pretty small and this is my only source of added sugar. If you want to try to make it with stevia, go ahead, or you can just skip it. But I wouldn't. Mix the chocolate syrup in, and then drink! So tasty!

  1. I have taken my love of iced coffee and married it with my need to get some protein in the morning....

    I use
    16oz. cold coffee
    1 oz. heavy cream
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder (I use Jay Robb because it tastes fantastic and uses very few-and all recognizable-ingredients as well as stevia as its sweetening agent).

Some days when I really want a sweet treat I will add between a tsp and a tblspn of a flavored sugar free syrup (usually vanilla or kahlua)

I only allow myself 1 iced coffee a day or this would be my only beverage!
